> Who we are?
We are professional tour guides and we all live in Florence. All of us have a license and a degree in different disciplines.
We have different personalities, different routes, so a different guiding style!
However there is an important thing we have in common: our passion for Florence and the desire to share with you.
> What does the “free tour” concept mean?
Free tours have no fixed ticket price. You are “free” to decide yourself how much you liked the tour and how much it was worth for you.
Our tour guides are freelance professionals so these free tours are part of their job, this is the reason why they pay regular taxes on the donations they receive.
> Are free tours available in other languages than English?
Our free tours are also available every day in Spanish and on the weekend in Italian.
For a private tour, we can also provide a tour guide in many other languages. In this case, you have to contact us in advance.
> How long does a tour take? How far will we walk?
Not all of our tours are the same. The morning tours last approximately two and a half hours.
The Sunset tours last approximately two hours. The distance that we will cover is about 3 kilometers.
> Where is the meeting point?
Our tours start in piazza Santa Maria Novella, in the middle of the square between the two obelisks.
Piazza Santa Maria Novella is five-minute walk from the train station.
For more details see the dedicated page
> Where do our tours end?
Our morning tours end in Piazza Santa Croce. About 20 minutes’ walk from the starting point.
Our evening tours end at the Ponte Vecchio. About 15 minutes’ walk from the starting point.
> How can I recognize the tour guide?
You will recognize our tour guide by the small flag of Florence with the red lily.
> Is a reservation required to join a tour?
Yes, only the reservation guarantees your participation in the tour.
In order to ensure the best quality, the group size for each experience is limited to a number of people.
Booking is easy! Directly from our home page, click on the icon of the tour you want to participate, select the day, The time and number of of people who will participate with you. You will receive a confirmation ticket by email.
> We are a group. How can I book?
Groups are welcome! If your group is larger, please contact us in advance.
We can also try to arrange a dedicated tour guide only for you!
> Is the tour suitable for children? Is it wheelchair accessible?
If children can keep up with the group, they are more than welcome. We also had many participants with baby stroller.
The streets of the historic centre of Florence are all flat even if a little disconnected so even in a wheelchair you can participate!
> Is there anything in particular that I need to bring?
The route is very easy but you will walk better if you use comfortable shoes.
We suggest you also bring warm clothes in the winter season and a small umbrella or raincoat in case it rains.
Especially in summer it is recommended to bring a bottle of water with you.
> Do the tours take place even in bad weather?
We are not scared of a few drops of rain, are you?
In some situations we may wait a little longer at the start or make an additional stop until the weather improves.
In case of exceptional climatic situations, upon agreement with the participants, the tour may not start or be suspended.
> What if I am late for the tour?
The guide starts the tour with a short introduction of about 15 minutes so you have this time to join the group.
After which the group starts moving and it is very difficult to join after. Please try to be punctual.
Please try to be punctual, out of respect for the other participants and not to miss the introduction of our guide.
> What if I just can't arrive on time or decide not to come?
In this case, you can cancel your booking directly through the Eventbrite link on your booking confirmation email.
Otherwise, please notify us by email or WhatsApp as soon as you can. Our tours have a limited number of participants.
If you book and do not participate without cancelling your reservation, you can prevent other people from participating.
