Florence by plane

Amerigo Vespucci Airport is in the north-west of Florence. You can reach the city center in about 20 minutes by taxi or by Tramway or a shuttle bus to Santa Maria Novella railway station (SMN).

Galileo Galilei Airport is located in Pisa, this is the main airport in Tuscany. You can get Florence in less than one hour (80km) through a punctual train and bus system and has an easy access to the motorway.

Santa Maria Novella railway station has a good connection with the main Italian cities like Venice (2 hours), Milan and Rome (one and half hour).

Booking some time before you can also get a good price ticket from the two main companies of the high-speed railway line (TAV, Treni Alta Velocità): Trenitalia and Italo treno.

Florence by car

The A1 motorway, the main road artery linking the north and south of the country, runs past Florence. The A11 motorway link the city with the west (Tyrrhenian Sea) coast.
